Description

Early Skythians, Dahae(?). 1st century B.C.-1st century A.D. AR drachm (15 mm, 3.36 g). Coarse helmeted head right, copying Eukratides I of Baktria / Blank(?), as made. Cf. Senior A8 (Skythians in Sogdiana); cf. MIG 655 (Dahae). Very rare. Softly struck and with minor deposits on reverse. Very fine.
