Parthian Kingdom. Meherdates. Usurper, A.D. 49/50. Æ chalkous (9 mm, 1.26 g, 1 h). Ekbatana. Helmeted bust of Meherdates facing; to either side, pellet above X / Nude male figure standing slightly right, holding eagle, within arched portico. Cf. Sellwood 67.4 (Vonones II; pellet above +); cf. Shore 594 (Vonones II; same). Seemingly unpublished with Xs instead of crosses. Nice earthen-green patina. Very fine.
