Description
Parthian Kingdom. Vologases I. First reign, ca. A.D. 50-54/5. AR tetradrachm (26 mm, 14.18 g, 12 h). Seleukeia on the Tigris, S.E. 363 (A.D. 51/2). Diademed bust of Vologases I left, wearing torque with central medallion / King enthroned left, receiving diadem branch from Tyche standing right, holding scepter; above, year (ςNT); in exergue, month (off flan). Sellwood 68.4-8; Shore 370. Toned, planchet flaw on obverse. Very fine.
