Description
Parthian Kingdom. Vologases IV. Ca. A.D. 147-191. BI tetradrachm (26 mm, 12.79 g, 12 h). Seleukeia on the Tigris, Dustrou, S.E. 492 (February A.D. 181). Diademed bust of Vologases IV left, wearing tiara; in right field, Β / King seated left on throne, receiving diadem from Tyche standing right and holding scepter; above, year (BqV); in exergue, month (mostly off flan, but seemingly ΔVCTPOV). Sellwood 84.82; cf. Shore 432. Typical light porosity. Good very fine.
