ITALY, Renaissance. The Seleukid Kings, Antiochus VIII ?. Uniface Oval Cast Bronze Plaquette, after the Antique, 17th Century. (14.90 gm; 50mm x 42mm) Laureate and draped bust right, name stamped below. (cf Bekker (Leipzig) 204-206, for others of Claudius, Nero and Vitellius). Excellent condition. Very high relief with great realistic detailed portrait. Brown patina.
