Maximinus I 'Thrax'. A.D. 235-238. AR denarius (20 mm, 2.99 g, 7 h). Rome, A.D. 235. IMP MAXIMINVS PIVS AVG, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Maximinus I right / P-ROVIDE-NTIA AVG, Providentia standing facing, head left, holding wand over globe and cornucopiae. RIC 13; BMC 15; RSC 77. Boldly struck and lustrous, light toning. Choice extremely fine.

Previously sold in Triskeles 23, 539, but buyer never paid.
