ANTIQUITIES, El Salvador Ceramic Bowl. ca. 800 – 1000 AD. A fine Maya polychrome bowl from El Salvador, ca. 800 – 1000 AD. This lovely corseted bowl from the Loma China area is 5-1/2” in diameter and is decorated with a glyphic design band executed in black over red slip. The interior is also red and has linear rim décor. Highly burnished, good mineral deposits, minor pitting on the interior rim.
