ANTIQUITIES, Peru, Double Chambered Figural Vessel. ca. 450 – 550 AD. An excellent Moche IV double-chambered vessel from Peru, ca. 450 – 550 AD. This choice example is 7-1/4” wide and depicts a pair of conjoined pepinos, painted in the traditional striped manner over cream slip. One chamber is further decorated with a nicely detailed serpent.
