An excellent Chimu shrimp effigy from Peru, c. 1100 – 1450 AD. This nicely detailed crustacean is 6-1/2” long, with its legs molded in high relief along the lower chamber. The head has an expressive face and the two suspension loops are intact. The slip is highly burnished and shows strong mineral deposits and trails. Ex Sarmiento collection. Value Range: $450 - $600
