Lot 283: ANTIQUITIES, Kushan Head

An exceptional Kushan head, c. 1st – 3rd century AD. This lovely example is 2-5/8” high and depicts a beautiful female. Her hair is finely molded and she is adorned with a fancy headdress jauntily tilted on her head, as well as large ear ornaments. Much of the white dressing remains, with traces of black pigment still evident. Mounted. Ex Stuart Bart estate. Value range: $175 - $250
