Lot 291: ANTIQUITIES. A Lot of 4 Egyptian New Kingdom Scarabs

A nice lot of 4 Egyptian scarabs. The lot includes an early New Kingdom steatite scarab with a ‘Ptah is truth’ on base, 15 x 10mm; a 2nd Intermediate black steatite scarab with scroll pattern between ‘ankh’ and ‘nefer’ signs, 22 x 17mm; a New Kingdom steatite scarab with ‘Beloved of Amen-Re’ on base readable from both directions, 16 x 11mm; and the last a charming New Kingdom steatite scarab with goose on the base, a sceptre over its shoulder, 14 x 10mm. Each in intact. Ex Negus Collection, UK, acquired in the early 20th Century. Value Range: $300-$400.
