Description
A pair of early Near Eastern stamp seals, c. 4000 - 3500 BC, the first an oval-shaped seal with rounded triangular handle, the base decorated with a central vertical line crossed by parallel horizontal lines, base 19 x 8mm. The second is a rectangular steatite seal, the back with two drilled holes, and sides smooth, the base decorated with incised lines and circular depressions, 19 x 15mm. Ex Northern California private collection. Value range: $250-$350.
