A Post-Akkadian limestone cylinder seal, c. 2300 - 2000 BC, the design consisting of an upper and lower register, the upper containing a kneeling female figure flanked by a pair of centaurs, a rosette in upper right field. The lower register with three canines facing right, geometric devices in the field around them. L: 35mm. Some blackening by fire and wear to the designs. Ex Northern California private collection. Value range: $250-$350.
