Description
A mixed group of Levantine items. The first is a Byzantine bone doll, c. 5th - 7th Century AD, with incised features and headdress, the belly button and pubic area indicated and pierced through the shoulder area to attach arms. H: 5 7/8” (14.9 cm). Some losses to bottom. Also included is a pair of Roman ivory floral elements from a necklace, L: 20xx & 14mm, a head of a terracotta Astarte figure, c. 1st Millennium BC, and a 17th - 18th Century silver cross decorated with a lotus pattern, L: 45mm, holed at all four ends for attachment to box or similar item. Ex Northern California private collection. Value Range: $150-$250.
