Hematite Presentation Scene Cylinder Seal. Old Babylonia, 1900-1800 BC. Black hematite cylinder seal engraved with worshiper who offers a concubine to a standing god-king. Possibly a unfinished master with a reserve for the addition of cuneiform text once purchased by a temple visitor. 18mm. Choice condition, one minor chip. Rare and Interesting. Ex. J Tabet collection.
