Description
Large Faience Ushabti. Egypt, XXVI Dynasty, 664-525 BC. Blue-green glazed faience bearded mummiform figure holding crook and flail, with hieroglyphs (book of the dead spell to incarnate figure and bind to deceased as servant in the afterlife) molded in six panels extending around figure from chest to foot. 5.5” tall. Large and impressive with good even color. A museum piece.
