Moesia Inferior, Marcianopolis. Macrinus, with Diadumenian, as Caesar. A.D. 217-218. Æ pentassarion (26 mm, 11.44 g, 6 h). P. Furius Pontianus, consular legate. AVT K M [OΠEΛ] CEV M[AKPEINOC] K M OΠE AN[TΩNINOC], laureate head of Macrinus right, vis-à-vis bare head of Diadumenian left / VΠ Π-ONTIANOV MAP-KIANOΠOΛEI-TΩΝ, Tyche standing facing, head left, holding rudder and cornucopiae within tetrastyle temple; in left field, E. Cf. Hristova & Jekov 6.24.46.5 (legends); cf. Varbanov 1288 (same). Mottled green patina. Very fine.
