ROMAN REPUBLIC, Anonymous. 280-269 B.C. Aes Grave Semis (168.90 g, 47 mm). Rome mint. Pegasos flying right, S below / Pegasus flying left, S below. Rome mint, Crawford 18/2; Sydenham 16. Ex-Ponteiro & Associates, Ex-Personal collection of John Haer. With recent import restrictions on Aes Grave, this is a nice example of a coin with a collecting history which predates the restrictions.
