Augustus. 27 B.C.-A.D. 14 AR denarius (17 mm, 3.43 g, 6 h). Lugdunum, 2 B.C.-A.D. 12. CAESAR AVG[VST]VS DIVI F PATER PATRIAE, laureate head of Augustus right / C L CAESARE[S] in exergue, AVGVSTI F COS DESIG PRINC IVVENT around, Gaius and Lucius Caesars standing facing, resting hands on shields between them, two spears behind; above, simpulum and lituus above X. RIC 211; Lyon 83; BN 1662; BM 537; RSC 43a. Toned, light porosity and some surface erosion. Very fine.
