Description

CONSTANTINE I. 307-337 AD. Æ Follis (21mm - 2.81 g). Arles mint. Struck 322-323 AD. CONSTAN-TINVS AVG, laureate and cuirassed bust right / SARMATIA DEVICTA, Victory walking right, holding trophy in right hand, palm in left, trampling captive; •S*AR. RIC VII 258 var. Near EF, dark brown patina.

This mint mark variety with the pellet is not recorded in RIC. If the pellet is not actually part of the mint mark (although it's clearly engraved into the die) and is just a stray mark, then this officina is not recorded for RIC 258. There is also an obvious pellet in the obverse legend.
