BYZANTINE EMPIRE. Michael VII Ducas. 1071-1078. Gold Histamenon (4.40 gm; 26 mm). Constantinople mint. Facing enthroned Christ, nimbate / Crowned facing bust, wearing short beard and loros, holding labarum headed sceptre and globus cruciger; crown with cross and pendilia. DOC III 1; SB 1869. Well struck on a nice full flan. Choice EF with some earthen patina.
