Sasanian Kingdom. Shapur I. A.D. 240-272. AV dinar (22 mm, 7.30 g, 4 h). Mint I ("Ctesiphon"), ca. A.D. 260-272. Diademed bust of Shapur I right, wearing mural crown with korymbos / Fire altar flanked by two attendants standing gazing away from the fire, each wearing mural crown. SNS type IIc/1b; Göbl type 1/1; Sunrise 739. Excellent centering and full borders. Extremely fine.
