Sicily, Syracuse. Hieron II. 275-215 B.C. Æ (24 mm, 15.99 g, 3 h). Ca. 230-218/5 B.C. Diademed head of Hieron II left / ΙΕΡΩΝΟΣ in exergue, horseman riding right, holding spear; below, Φ. CNS 195; BAR issue 61; SNG ANS 944; HGC 2, 1548. Dark brown patina. Choice very fine.
