Description

Asia Minor, Uncertain mint. 1st century B.C. Æ (15 mm, 2.69 g). Aphrodite(?) standing left, holding branch and drapery / Stag standing left. Black patina. Good very fine.

The stag on the reverse is similar to certain issues of the Galatian kingdom. The deity on the obverse is uncertain. It appears to be female, but the fold of drapery held on the arm indicates the figure may in fact be Herakles.
