Pontos, Amisos. Under Mithradates VI Eupator. Ca. 105-85 B.C. Æ (28 mm, 18.99 g, 12 h). Head of Athena right, wearing triple-crested helmet ornamented with Pegasos / AMIΣO[Y], Perseus standing facing, holding harpa and head of Medusa, whose decapitated body lies at feet; monograms to left and right. SNG BM 1166-8; HGC 7, 238. Brown and tan patina. Adjustment marks. Very fine.
