Description
An excellent stamp seal from Ecuador, probably Late Valdivia period, c. 500 - 300 BC. It is 2-7/8” long, 1-3/8” high and depicts a trio of figures. Good mineral deposits. Cf. Lathrap “Ancient Ecuador”, page 106, for similar from Chicago’s Field Museum. Ex Murray collection. Value range: $175 - $250
