Hematite Presentation Scene Cylinder Seal. Old Babylonia, 1900-1800 BC. Brown-black Hematite cylinder seal engraved with worshiper approaching who offers a concubine (facing) to a standing Diety-King; between a monkey-dwarf; behind a second facing woman with sun-wheel above her head; and further behind a seated sphinx with a lizard above. 22mm. Ash.I.257 cf. Minor defect in stone surface otherwise Choice. Very Impressive.
