Lot 421: European Antique Silver Bible book cover from early 1900s

Offered is a marvelous and scarce religious European antique silver Bible book cover from early 1900s in stunning detail repoussé (high relief), all hand engraved, depicting a large cross on the center featuring Jesus Christ Pantokrator holding a cross on his hand, accompanied by his four apostles as St. John, St. Mark, St. Luke, and St. Matthew on the cover and the same design of large cross on the back featuring a bird feeding her chicks on the center.

 

This stunning 1900s antique silver repoussé Bible book cover is large and heavy, in fabulous style, in excellent condition with the exception of some marks on the edges, well expected for its age.
