Offered is a wonderful antique 1800s bronze figurine statue depicting a crowned Tara Buddha, in various shades of gold, with an alluring hair style and decoration, sitting beautifully on a symmetrical designed pedestal, while holding a begging bowl in his hand.Tara (Tibetan: Dolma) is a female Bodhisattva. There are five variations of her: green, white, blue, red and yellow. She is considered a great protector that guards people against the eight major dangers in life: pride, delusion, anger, jealousy, wrong views, greed, desire and doubt.
This marvelous antique piece is made of gilded bronze, in perfect antique shape and condition with beautiful natural patina forming on various spots of the body and pedestal.
