Vellum Bible Page. France, XIII Century AD. Latin in two columns on both sides; red “U” and blue “h” capitals with red and blue borders. 4x6”. Text: Jeremaih 49-51. Prohecuies against Isreal's enemies: Ammonites, Edomites, Syrian (49). Babylon is delivered for destruction:"for behold, I am stirring up and bringing against Babylon a company of nations from the north country, “”the Lord has opened his armoury and brought out the weapons of his wreath”. Text clear and colors fresh. Written in remarkably fine hand, 14 lines per inch. A few minor pinholes. Choice.
