BRAZIL. João VI, as King of Portugal. 1816-1822. AR 960 Reis (40mm - 26.82 g). Dated 1820. Mark of value and date within wreath; crown above / Royal coat-of-arms over globe; all over cross patée. KM 326.1. EF, attractively toned, overstruck on an 1816 F Columbia 8 reales of Ferdinand VII. The undertypes are not bold, but FER VII, 1816, P and F are all visible. The host coin is very rare.
