LUCANIA. Metapontum. Circa 470-440 BC. AR Nomos (18mm - 8.11 g). META upwards on right, six-grained ear of barley / Incuse six-grained ear of barley. Noe 252; SNG ANS 255; HN Italy 1484. Good VF, overstruck on a Corinthian type stater with Pegasos' head and wing visible on the obverse and the outline of Athena visible on the reverse.
