Macedonian Kingdom. Alexander III ''the Great''. 336-323 B.C. Fourrée tetradrachm (27 mm, 14.84 g, 10 h). Contemporary imitation. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion''s skin headdress / ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ, Zeus seated left, holding eagle and scepter. Cf. Price B16 and B35 for barbarous imitations of similar style. Well struck on a nice, full flan. Areas of core exposed. Choice very fine.
