Description
Mysia, Pergamon. Ca. 166-67 B.C. AR cistophoric tetradrachm (25 mm, 12.53 g, 12 h). Ca. 123-104 B.C. Serpent crawling from cista mystica with lid ajar; all within ivy wreath / Bow-case with serpents; in left field, monogram of Pergamon; above, ΠA monogram; in right field, thyrsos with serpent coiled about the staff. Kleiner 7; SNG BN -. Uneven toning. Well centered. Good very fine.
