Seleukid Kingdom. Alexander I Balas. 152/1-145 B.C. AR drachm (17 mm, 4.01 g, 12 h). Antioch on the Orontes, undated, ca. S.E. 164/5 (149/8-148/7 B.C.). Diademed head of Alexander I Balas right / ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ ΘΕΟΠΑ-ΤΟΡΟΣ ΕΥΕΡΓΕΤΟΥ, Apollo Delphios seated left on omphalos, holding arrow and resting hand on grounded bow behind; in outer left field, monogram; in exergue, monogram. SC 1785.5b; HGC 9, 887a. Good metal. Extremely fine.
