Ptolemaic Kingdom. Ptolemy III Euergetes. 246-222 B.C. Æ (37 mm, 46.47 g, 12 h). Alexandria, 246-230 B.C. Diademed head of Zeus-Ammon right / ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ [ΠΤ]ΟΛΕΜΑΙΟΥ, eagle standing left, head right, on thunderbolt; filleted cornucopiae at wing; between legs, EP monogram. Cf. Svoronos 974 (E between legs); SNG Copenhagen 227-9 (Ptolemy IV). Brown patina. A few light marks. Very fine.
