A fine Maya polychrome bowl from El Salvador, c. 400 – 800 AD. It is 7-1/2” in diameter and features a trio of animated monkeys, each depicted with a glyph as the center of their bodies. The rim band consists of a series on nicely painted Copador glyphs. The interior is painted in cream and shows extensive mineral deposits and root marks. Intact. Ex Tribal Treasures Gallery.
