Description
Parthian Kingdom. Phraatakes, with Queen Musa. 2 B.C.-A.D. 4/5 AR drachm (18 mm, 3.70 g, 12 h). Susa, ca. A.D. 1-4. Diademed bust of Phraatakes left, crescent before / Diademed and crowned bust of Musa left; monogram below chin. Cf. Sellwood 58.12 (Nikai in fields crowning king); cf. Shore 326 (palm branch on rev.); Sunrise -. A very rare issue not recorded in the standard references. Surfaces a little rough. Very fine.
