Sasanian Kingdom. Ardashir I. A.D. 223/4-240. AR drachm (26 mm, 4.29 g, 9 h). Mint B ('Hamadan'), phase 3, ca. A.D. 233/4-238/9. Bust of Ardashir I right, wearing diadem and close-fitting headdress with korymbos and earflaps / Fire altar with diadems. SNS type IIIb(4a)/3c(2b); cf. Sunrise 703. Superb extremely fine.
