Fired Clay Figure of a Camel. T’ang China, VII-VIII Century AD. Standing figure of camel as used in the Silk Road trade. Traces of paint on head. Head nicely detailed, rest of figure less so. 7.5” high, 7.5” long. Slightly rubbed, few minor dings, otherwise intact.
