BMC 23 // MESOPOTAMIA, Edessa. Gordian III, with Abgar X Phraates AD 238-244. Æ 23mm. Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind; star before / Bust of Abgar right wearing tiara; star behind. BMC 144 var. // MESOPOTAMIA, Singara. Gordian III, with Tranquillina. Æ 32mm Confronted busts of Gordian, laureate, draped, and cuirassed, and Tranquillina, diademed and draped / Tyche seated left on rocks, holding grain ears; above, Sagittarius leaping left, discharging bow; river-god below.
