SICILY. Syracuse. Second Democracy. 466-406 BC. AR Tetradrachm (26mm - 16.11 g). Obverse die signed by Eumenes, reverse die signed by Eukleidas. Struck circa 415-406 BC. Charioteer driving galloping quadriga left, holding kentron and reins; Nike flying above crowning charioteer, EVMHNOV in exergue / Head of Arethusa left, wearing looped earring and necklace, surrounded by four dolphins swimming; [EVKL/EIDA] inscribed on tablet below chin. Tudeer 24 (V9/R16); SNG ANS 259 (same dies); SNG Lloyd 1368 (same dies). VF, lightly toned, porous.
