Philip II. As Caesar, A.D. 244-247. AR antoninianus (23 mm, 3.52 g, 6 h). Rome. M IVL PHILIPPVS CAES, radiate and draped bust of Philip II right, seen from behind / PIETAS AVGVSTOR, sprinkler, simpulum, jug, knife and lituus. RIC 215; RSC 32. Scarce type for Philip II. Attractively toned, edge a bit irregular. Good very fine.
