Constantine II. As Caesar, A.D. 317-337. Æ follis (14 mm, 2.34 g). Arelate, ca. A.D. 324/5. CONSTANTINVS IVN NOB [C], laureate and cuirassed bust of Constantine II right / Incuse of obverse. ''Brockage'' strike. . Earthen brown and green-brown patina. Very fine.
The identification of the mint as Arelate is uncertain, but likely based on the style of the portrait of Constantine II. The reverse type was probably meant to be a camp-gate with PROVIDENTIAE CAESS legend.
