Ealstan, moneyer. + ÆDELRED REX A(NG)L(OR)X, bare-headed and draped bust of Aethelred II left; before, scepter with cross pommée / + EALHSTAN M-O LVN, voided cross with C-R-V-X in angles. SCBI 7 (Copenhagen) 782 (same reverse die); North 770; Seaby 1148. Lightly toned. Very fine.
