Banded Carnelian and gold Bead Necklace. Asiatic, II-I Millennium BC. Mixed bead necklace consisting of black stone (hematite?) roof-shaped beads, banded carnelian cornerless beads, 2 carnelian dog amulets, and accented with rosette patterned sheet gold beads (Byzantine, VI Century AD). 20” long, restrung with modern clasp. Very Impressive.
