Mysia, Pergamon. Ca. 166-67 B.C. AR cistophoric tetradrachm (28 mm, 12.63 g, 12 h). Ca. 123-104 B.C. Serpent crawling from cista mystica with lid ajar; all within ivy wreath / Bow-case with serpents; in left field, monogram of Pergamon; above, MI monogram and H; in right field, thyrsos with serpent coiled about the staff. Kleiner 22; Pinder 103; SNG BN -. Toned. Extremely fine.
