Seleukid Kingdom. Alexander I Balas. 152/1-145 B.C. Æ (18 mm, 6.35 g, 12 h). Antioch on the Orontes. Head of Alexander I right, wearing crested Corinthian helmet / ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ, Nike standing left, holding wreath and palm; in outer left field, grain ear; in inner left field, uncertain monogram; in exergue, AΦ monogram. Cf. SC 1790 (controls not recorded); HGC 9, 899. Dark green patina. A lovely example. Good very fine.
