CILICIA. Seleuceia ad Calycadnum. Severus Alexander. 222-235 AD. Æ 29mm (15.37 g). Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust right; c/m: D with central pellet / Athena walking left, looking right, holding shield on left arm, thrusting spear at serpent-legged giant kneeling before. SNG France 1001 var. (Athena walking right); SNG Levante -; Howgego 670 (for countermark). Near VF, dark brown and red patina with some roughness.
