Canaanite Duckbill War Axe, Middle Bronze Age, 1730-1000 B.C. (9.9 cm x 6.7 cm). Very nice with brown patina. The inside of the axe shaft has been left as found with the original encrustations. Such axes were very popular in the Biblical time of the "Judges" and would have been used both by the Israelites and Canaanites. Signs of use, no repairs. ex-David Hendin. EF.
